The IB Diploma Programme at Richmond Secondary School is an academically rigorous, internationally recognized program that requires students to undertake coursework during Grades 11 and 12.

Current Richmond Secondary School students are eligible to enroll as either IB Diploma Candidates, or as IB Course Candidates.
“All Diploma Programme students participate in the three elements that make up the core of the program model. Reflection on all these elements is a principle that lies at the heart of the thinking behind the Diploma Programme.
Assessment in the IB Diploma Programme is different than in the BC Graduation Program. The IB Diploma Programme uses a mixture of internal and external assessment in each subject area.
The IB Diploma Programme Coordinator is Mr. Dave Miller. He always has time to talk. Most days he can be found in Room 134, the IB Office, just inside the main entrance from 8:30 until 4:30.
