Many universities, including UBC, Simon Fraser University and the University of Victoria, provide First Year University Credit for outstanding work in the IB Diploma Programme. These credits serve as a formal recognition of the value of the work that IB Students do as part of their Diploma, but also as an expression of the value that the Universities place upon IB Students themselves.
Since 2005, our students have earned over 16,000 UBC Credits for the outstanding work that they have done in the IB Diploma Program, which has a value of more than $2.95 Million dollars. This figure represents a significant benefit to our students and community.
Over the past thirteen years, the average student who successfully has successfully completed an IB Diploma at Richmond Secondary School has received over $2200 in UBC Credits upon admission.
