What is The IB Diploma Programme?

  • The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is a rigorous Graduation Programme leading to assessment in six subject areas and 3 IB Core Courses.
  • Established in 1968, the IB offers a challenging curriculum noted for its depth and international perspective.
  • Beyond completing college-level courses and comprehensive examinations, IB students are also required to engage in community service (CAS), individual research (EE), and inquiry into the nature of knowledge (TOK).
  • In addition, high scores in IB courses often earn students credit at University. In some cases students will get credit for first-year coursework.
  • The International Baccalaureate Organization currently works with 5000 schools in 146 countries to develop and offer four challenging programmes to over 1,300,000 students aged 3 to 19 years.
